![]() The one labelled S is the data for the ISO12642:1996 target (also known as "IT8.7/3"). Note the IFRA printing conditions have two data sets for each. However, that process was never formally adopted. It is for processes with a tone value increase of 22%. IFRA22 was intended for printing processes that conform to a proposed revision of ISO 12647-3 for a screen frequency of 40 lines/cm, printing from plates made by computer-to-plate. It is for processes with a tone value increase of 28%. IFRA28 is for printing processes that conform to ISO 12647-3:1998 (newspaper printing) for a screen frequency of 40 lines/cm, printing from negative acting plates. These are for processes with a tone value increase of 26 and 30% respectively, regardless of how the plates are produced. IFRA 26 and IFRA 30 are for printing processes that conform to ISO/DIS 12647-3:2004 (newspaper printing) for a screen frequency of 40 lines/cm. However, only IFRA 26 and IFRA 30 are currently recommended by IFRA, the other two relating to an older version of the ISO 12647-3 printing standard.
